Melissa started her Actuarial career in 2011. She worked in major Indonesian Life Insurance companies where she was responsible for various modeling and valuation tasks. This included Embedded Value (EV) Report, Prophet Modeling, Assumption Review, Financial Modeling, and various local regulatory requirements such as Laporan Aktuaris and local RBC report.

Prior to founding Solus, she worked in one of actuarial outsourcing firm and was involved in several key projects for both insurance and non–insurance companies. This included various Actuarial Pricing, Modeling, and Valuation projects. Whereas for non-actuarial projects, she was responsible for building financial data management which utilized her programming skill.

She holds a Bachelor of Science in Actuarial Science, and is an Associate of the Society of Actuaries of America (SOA). Additionally, she masters three languages: Mandarin, Bahasa Indonesia and English, both verbally and non-verbally.
